Australia’s national Paid Parental Leave scheme provides eligible working parents with 18 weeks of Government-funded pay at the National Minimum Wage.
It's voluntary to provide Parental Leave Pay to an eligible employee until 30 June 2011. From 1 July 2011, your business will be required to provide Parental Leave Pay to eligible long-term employees who have or adopt a child from that date.
