Desktop business assistant
The Desktop business assistant is a simple tool that 'hovers' on your desktop. It's your own entry point to the business.gov.au website. From the desktop tool you can access current news and features, quick links to business.gov.au services and our business.gov.au search.
To install the tool you will need Windows 2000 or higher. The current version is also now compatible with Windows Vista. To get started, select the links below:
Quick search
If you have a Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2 browser, the quick search is now available to add to your quick search toolbar.
The quick search is available for the business.gov.au and ABN Lookup websites, giving you greater access to government business information.
To install the quick search plug in, follow the below instructions.
Internet Explorer 7
- Click on the magnifying glass icon at the top right of your browser window.
- In the drop down menu, navigate to the option called Add search providers.
- Click on the Business.gov.au flyout option.
- A popup box will appear. Click on the Add Provider button.
Firefox 2
- Click on the drop down arrow situated on the left side of the search box in the top right of your browser window (above the business.gov.au Search box).
- Click on Add "business.gov.au".
