As a business, you need to be aware of what obligations you need to follow when advertising prices. Recent "Clarity in pricing" amendments to the Trade Practices Act 1974 have changed what information you need to provide.

If you choose to advertise a part of the price of a product or service, you must also provide a single figure that reflects the total price to be paid. This does not mean that you can't show the various components that make up that price, but if you do, you must also show in a prominent way the total price to be paid.
