The Fresh Ideas for Work and Family initiative provides grants of $5 000 to $15 000 to encourage small businesses to implement family friendly work policies and practices. These policies will help employees to establish a better work/life balance and improve employee retention and productivity.
The program also supports small business by:

developing and distributing information about family friendly work arrangements

having experts from Fair Work Australia on hand from January 2010 to provide assistance in setting up family friendly work arrangements.
