IP Australia have called for written submissions on proposed reforms to the intellectual property (IP) system.

The reform aims to:

  • reduce barriers in the innovation landscape for researchers and inventors
  • improve certainty about the validity of granted patents
  • allow patent claims to be resolved faster.

Written submissions should be sent to IP Australia, PO Box 200, Woden ACT 2606.

The closing date for submissions is May 8, 2009. Further information can be found on IP Australia's  website.
