The Tariff Concessions Gazette  is a weekly electronic publication produced by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Customs). The Gazette advises industry and manufacturers of the latest applications for Tariff Concession Orders (TCOs) under the Tariff Concession System .

TCOs help support Australia's industry competitiveness by lowering costs through relief from Customs duty on imported business inputs and consumer items where there is no equivalent Australian product.

While this reduction in tariffs can assist in reducing importers' costs, they can also affect businesses whose products are already available in Australia. These products may get overlooked by importers as an approved TCO allows them to import an international equivalent with lowered tariffs.

If you produce Australian goods and want them considered before international equivalents, you can keep track of current TCO applications by reading the Tariff Concessions Gazette . Objections to TCO applications must be lodged with Customs within 50 days if you produce or know of an equivalent product already available in Australia.

To find out more about TCOs or to download the latest copy of the Tariff Concessions Gazette, visit the Customs  website.
