If you have been affected by the floods in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, there is a range of assistance available.

Urgent assistance

If your property is damaged and you are in urgent need of assistance, contact the State Emergency Service (SES) on 132 500. Alternatively, visit the QLD SES  website or the NSW SES  website.

Centrelink assistance

Special arrangements have been made for Centrelink customers in specified affected areas. For more information, visit the Centrelink  website or phone 13 32 76.

New South Wales financial assistance

There is a range of assistance available from the NSW government including loans to small businesses and primary producers. Visit the Office for Emergency Services  website or phone 1800 678 593.

Queensland financial assistance

Funding for Queenslanders includes: 

  • Emergency Assistance Payments of $165 per person and up to $765 per family
  • Essential Household Contents Grants of $1,635 per individual and up to $4,910 per couple or family
  • Essential Repairs to Housing Grants of up to $10,100 per individual and up to $13,600 per couple or family.
