1 – 7 March 2010 is the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce's annual National Fraud Awareness Week.
As part of Fraud Week, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued two new publications to help online shoppers and small business owners avoid scams.
The Tips for a fine time shopping online and Small business scams factsheets provide you with advice such as:
- how to protect yourself online
- how to spot scams
- examples of common scams
- what to do if you are the victim of a scam.
