The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) officially opened on 1 November 2010 and brings together the functions relating to freedom of information, privacy and information policy.

You are invited to comment on 10 draft principles on open public sector information in the OAIC's Issues Paper, Towards an Australian Government Information Policy .

Your comment will be accepted on the Issues Paper until 1 March 2011, so to find out more about the new OAIC, or to read the Issues Paper, visit the OAIC  website.
