Military Sales Catalogue

The 2019 Australian Military Sales Catalogue was launched today by the Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon Steven Ciobo MP, to showcase the world-leading Australian defence industry products and services available to the defence forces of our friends and allies.

Foreign dignitaries from around the globe, and many of the 114 companies represented in the catalogue, attended the launch at Parliament House in Canberra.

“I’m pleased to see that the number of Australian businesses contributing to the catalogue has grown by 78 per cent from last year. This demonstrates the strength of defence industry across the country, with every Australian state and territory represented.”

Minister Ciobo

The Australian Military Sales Catalogue lists surplus Australian Defence Force equipment available for purchase by approved foreign government customers, and showcases the products and services of selected Australian defence industry companies. This year’s edition also has a section on the government programs available to help Australia’s defence companies maximise export opportunities.

The transfer of defence equipment to foreign governments is subject to a rigorous approval process separate from the Australian Defence Export Office, which produces the catalogue.
