Overview


The Automotive Engineering Graduate Program provides funding to universities for industry-based postgraduate research. Universities may use the funding to give students stipends and research support.

Student projects need to be in specific knowledge priority areas for automotive engineering. You must complete the projects by 30 June 2021.

The program aims to help the automotive industry by providing a source of high-quality graduate engineers. They’ll have the skills and experience to match future industry needs.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible you must:

Eligible activities must directly relate to the project and can include:

  • funding postgraduate students in industry-based projects that give experience in knowledge priority areas
  • use of facilities to do research outside the university
  • activities that support delivery of your project (like engaging automotive industry partners to support student projects)
