Artists need to develop a concept to be able to commission their work. The funding covers costs that relate directly to creating the artistic concept, such as:

  • artist's fees
  • travel
  • accommodation
  • design development
  • assembly
  • installation
  • documentation costs

What are the eligibility criteria?

To apply, you must live in South Australia and be one of the following:

  • an individual
  • a community group
  • an organisation (including if you receive ongoing Arts South Australia funds) and
  • a Local and State Government agency

The private sector can apply for financial assistance only when in partnership with an eligible applicant. The private sector can obtain advice on the commissioning of works of art for public places.
