The Community and Industry Engagement Program provides industries, businesses, local governments, councils and organisations with funding for projects that aim to avoid waste, recover more value and resources from waste, and protect the environment.

Overview
The Community and Industry Engagement Program (CIE) provides funding to organisations for the delivery of projects that aim to avoid waste, recover more value and resources from waste, and protect the environment.
Funding is offered under 2 streams:
Recycling Infrastructure
- funding of up to $250,000
- supports investment in recycling infrastructure
General Funding Stream
- funding of up to $100,000
- supports projects and education programs that promote behaviour change
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, you must be a Western Australian organisation classified as one of the following:
- industry
- business
- local government
- regional council
- peak industry organisation
- research and education organisation
- community group
- Western Australian state government agency
Funding is not available for:
- projects, or parts of projects that are nearing completion
- ongoing operational activities
- activities to meet legislative requirements
