Market Diversification and Resilience Grants provide commercial fishing, charter fishing and aquaculture businesses with matched funding to help them survive the impacts of COVID-19.

Who is this for?
Queensland-based commercial fishing, charter fishing, and aquaculture businesses.
Overview
Round 2 of this program aims to support commercial fishing, charter fishing, and aquaculture businesses impacted by COVID-19 restrictions to adapt and sustain their operations, and build resilience.
Funding may be used to support projects, including:
- equipment purchases
- training
- marketing and promotional activities
- improving post-harvest processing techniques
- establishing new markets that improves diversification and resilience for fishing and aquaculture businesses
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, your organisation must:
- be a Queensland-based commercial fishing, aquaculture, charter business or industry association at the time of submission, subject to closure or impacted by the shutdown restrictions
- be a small to medium-sized business employing less than 50 full time equivalent employees
- be registered and operating in Queensland, have an Australian business number (ABN), be registered for goods and services tax (GST) and have a Queensland headquarters
- not have received funding under the first round of the Market Diversification and Resilience Grants Program
Further eligibility criteria apply depending on whether you are applying as a commercial fishing, aquaculture or charter business venture.
