The Small Business Bushfire Recovery Grants provide eligible small businesses and non-profit organisations in disaster declared regions with funding to help with clean-up and asset costs.

What do you get?

Funding of up to $50,000.

Who is this for?

Small businesses and non-profit organisations located in eligible bushfire affected regions.

Overview

These grants are available for clean-up and asset costs, including:

  • equipment and materials to clean up
  • additional labour costs (above normal wage expenditure)
  • replacing spoiled stock/goods caused by power outages
  • removal and disposal of damaged goods and material
  • paying trades-people to do safety inspections
  • essential repairs to premises and internal fittings
  • purchase or hire/lease costs for equipment essential to immediately resume operations
  • leasing of temporary premises
  • replacement of stock that's essential to immediately resume operations

Loss of income is not eligible under this scheme.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN) and have held it at the time of the eligible disaster
  • own a small business located in a defined disaster area
  • have been carrying on your business when the disaster happened
  • be intending to re-establish your small business in the defined disaster area
  • have suffered direct damage to premises and/or tools
  • be responsible for the costs of repair or replacement
