Tourism Partnerships

The Tourism Partnerships service provided groups of tourism businesses access to a business facilitator. With their support, action plans were developed to improve group collaboration and increase visitor numbers to the region.
Application detail:

Applications for this service closed 30 June 2019. Existing customers can continue to work with their Business Adviser or Facilitator until 31 December 2019.

What do you get?

This closed program provided support to groups of tourism businesses to develop collaboration strategies to innovate and grow together. They would then have the opportunity to apply for funding to support the collaboration initiatives.

Who is this for?

A group or consortium of tourism businesses in northern Australia.

Tourism Partnerships is a part of Business Management, which in turn is an element of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme.

Business Management provides access to a national network of skilled business advisers and facilitators. They work with businesses to improve business practices, become more competitive, and take advantage of growth opportunities.

The Tourism Partnerships service provided an experienced business facilitator who:

  • worked with groups or consortiums for up to 1 year
  • identified strategies for common business interests and challenges
  • assisted members of the group or consortium to innovate and grow together
  • developed a plan for successful collaboration
  • provided on-going assistance to implement recommendations from the plan

Once a business has received a Tourism Partnership plan, they may be eligible for a Business Growth Grant. This grant will help fund the recommendations in the Tourism Partnerships plan.
