IP Australia has begun a two-phase approach to designs reform. As part of the first phase, IP Australia is seeking your views on proposed changes to implement accepted recommendations from the Advisory Council on Intellectual Property’s (ACIP) Review of the Designs System.

The changes consider greater safeguards, such as a grace period for designers, and protection for parts of designs and virtual designs.

You can also find out more about other activities IP Australia is doing to ensure Australia’s design system is fit for purpose in the future, including the Designs Review Project and recently released Australian Designs Search.

How do I give feedback?
