Provides manufacturers impacted by the closure of the automotive industry in SA with funding of up to $500,000 to cover up to 50% of costs needed to help diversify their business and find alternative revenue streams.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a financially viable manufacturing business currently participating in the automotive supply chain
  • have been in operation for longer than 12 months
  • be able to contribute a minimum of 50% of the costs.

Other eligibility requirements may apply.

Deadline to apply:

Applications will be continuously assessed throughout the year.

Overview

The Automotive Supplier Diversification Program (ASDP) supports businesses impacted by closure of the car manufacturing industry in Australia.

The Program will:

  • identify and boost manufacturing capability in SA
  • support businesses and workers to diversify into non-automotive sectors.

What support or funding is available?

Funding of up to $11.65 million has been allocated to support the industry to 2017-18. Support is available for a wide range of activities.

Through the Program’s Fast Track Initiative, grants of up to $15,000 are also available for eligible businesses to undertake low cost, low risk projects.

South Australian companies affected by the closure of the Australian automotive manufacturing operations may apply.

Companies looking to work with eligible automotive supply chain companies may also be eligible.
