Provides small to medium Western Australian businesses with funding of up to $20,000 (excluding GST) to improve their competitiveness and better prepare them to win State and local Government supply contracts.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must have:

  • an Australian Business Number (ABN) or an Australian Company Number (ACN)
  • operating facilities based in Western Australia, and will continue to be based in Western Australia for the next 12 months
  • a turnover between $250,000 and $100 million.

Overview

Local Capability Fund - Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS Round) aims to provide small to medium local businesses with the best opportunity to access and win State and local Government supply contracts.

Funding may be used for the following eligible activities:

  • expert consultant services
  • equipment
  • improvements to internal business infrastructure and systems
  • training.

Funding of up to $20,000 (excluding GST) is available to cover 50% of eligible costs of purchases or services. This program is a re-imbursement scheme and successful applicants will need to pay for the activity before making a claim for funding.

Eligibility

To be eligible, your business must:

  • be solvent
  • have been operating for at least three years
  • not be a Not for Profit Organisation or Charity
  • submit only one application per operating facility
  • employ up to 200 people.
