Provides South Australian researchers, entrepreneurs and businesses with matched funding of between $20,000 and $2 million to support collaboration and the commercialisation of new products and services.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a South Australian-based legal entity (including businesses, not-for-profits, industry associations, universities, independent and state government research institutes)
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST
  • be financially viable

Overview

The Research, Commercialisation and Startup Fund provides funding to support collaboration between enterprises, researchers and universities to commercialise new products and services.

There are three different funding streams:

  • Stream 1 - Strategic Research Initiatives ($50,000 - $2 million)
  • Stream 2 - Startup and Early Stage Company Incentive ($20,000 - $1 million)
  • Stream 3 - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Initiatives ($20,000 - $500,000)

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, you must:

  • have an Australian Business Number and be registered for GST
  • be financially viable
  • be a South Australian-based legal entity that is one of the following:
    • business (including not-for-profits)
    • business / industry association
    • university
    • independent research institute
    • state government research institute

Additional eligibility criteria apply to each funding stream.

If you are not located in SA you may still be eligible under special circumstances.
