Farm Management Grants QLD

Provides Queensland primary producers with a rebate of up to $2,500 to cover up to 50% of the costs to seek professional advice regarding succession planning.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a primary producer, or the relative of a primary producer
  • have paid for, or will pay for, eligible professional advice
  • have received the professional advice on or after 23 March 2017.

Automotive Engineering Graduate Program

  • Open

Provides universities with grants of between $200,000 and $1 million to deliver stipends and research support for post graduate students to undertake industry-based projects in areas of knowledge priorities for automotive engineering.

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a higher education provider listed at Table A or Table B of the Higher Education Support Act 2003 and
  • offer student research programs related to automotive engineering knowledge priorities as listed in Appendix B of the grant opportunity guidelines.

Touring Grants Tasmania

  • Open

Provides organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours in Tasmania with funding of up to $15,000 to encourage visitors to travel around Tasmania.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must organise a tour that:

  • attracts more than 40 people from outside Tasmania who are likely to stay five nights or more in paid commercial accommodation
  • is held in the March to November period (tours held in December, January and February are not eligible)
  • spends at least 40% of its time outside Greater Hobart.

Building Better Regions Fund Infrastructure Projects Stream

  • Open

Provides organisations with grants of between $20,000 to $10 million to support projects which involve the construction of new infrastructure, or the upgrade or extension of existing infrastructure that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas.

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)

and

  • be one of the following incorporated entities:
    • an incorporated not for profit organisation.
    • an Australian local government agency or body as defined in appendix A of the grant opportunity guidelines

National Science Week Grants 2019

  • Open

Provides individuals and organisations with grants between $2,000 and $20,000 to support the delivery of science engagement activities during National Science Week. National Science Week is Australia's major national celebration of the sciences in August each year. The next National Science Week will be held from 10 - 18 August 2019.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be an individual 18 years of age or older, or
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN).

R&D Tax Incentive

  • Open

Provides a tax offset for some of a company's cost of doing eligible research and development (R&D) activities by reducing a company's income tax liability. Tax offsets of 43.5% or 38.5% are available for costs incurred on eligible activities depending on a company’s annual aggregated turnover. The 43.5% benefit is a refundable offset.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, applicants must:

  • be an incorporated company
  • be conducting eligible core R&D activities. These are defined in the legislation as being experiments that are guided by hypotheses and conducted for the purpose of generating new knowledge
  • have incurred eligible R&D expenditure or notional deductions of at least $20,000 (unless using a Research Service Provider or a Cooperative Research Centre).

Provides Tasmanian export ready, small to medium businesses with funding of up to $7,000 to help them explore and seek new markets both nationally and overseas.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be producing products and services in Tasmania which have an Australian content of at least 51%
  • have an annual turnover of between $300,000 and $20 million.
