Safer Communities Fund Round 3 - Infrastructure Grants

Provides local councils and community organisations with grants of up to $1 million for security infrastructure activities to address crime and anti-social behaviour in public or community spaces.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, applicants must have an ABN and be one of the following:

  • an incorporated not for profit organisation
  • a local government agency or body

Industry/trade associations and chambers of commerce can apply if they meet the eligibility criteria above.

  • Open

Provides NSW primary producers with interest free loans of up to $50,000 to help with the costs of implementing systems and practices that enhance the sustainability of their farm.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must be:

  • the owner and operator of a farm business in NSW
  • operating as a sole trader, partnership or private company, trading in agricultural products
  • registered with the Australian Taxation Office as a primary producer and have an ABN.

Safer Communities Fund Round 3 - Early Intervention Grants

Provides state and territory peak Police Citizen’s Youth Clubs, Bluelight organisations and Youth Off the Streets with grants of up to $2 million to deliver local crime prevention activities that address anti-social behaviour and/or racial or religious intolerance by at-risk marginalised youth.

At a minimum, you must have an ABN and be one of the following:

  • a state or territory peak Police Citizens’ Youth Club
  • a state or territory peak Bluelight organisation
  • Youth Off the Streets Limited.

Biomedical Translation Fund (BTF)

  • Open

Provides companies with venture capital through licensed private sector fund managers to develop and commercialise biomedical discoveries in Australia.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, at the time of the first investment, you must be an eligible company that is, or will be, developing and commercialising biomedical discoveries and have:

  • a majority of your employees and assets inside Australia, or will use the whole of the initial investment within Australia
  • an average annual revenue over the previous two years below $25 million per year.

Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnerships (ESVCLP)

  • Open

Provides early stage venture capital limited partnerships (ESVCLPs) with a flow-through tax incentive and a complete tax exemption on an investor’s share of a fund’s income to increase investment in early stage venture capital businesses.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be either a limited partnership or an incorporated limited partnership
  • be established in Australia or in a country that Australia has a double tax agreement with
  • have a partnership agreement that ensures the partnership exists for between 5 and15 years.

Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) Grants

  • Open

Provides industry-led collaborations with short term (up to three years) matched funding of up to $3 million to develop important new technologies, products and services.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be in a collaboration which contains at least two Australian industry organisations including one small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) and at least one Australian research organisation
  • be able to match the funding sought.

Innovation Connections

  • Open

Provides businesses with access to a highly skilled facilitator, for the purpose of reviewing the business’ research needs. If required, the facilitator will connect the business to expertise within the research sector and help to define a project scope. Up to $50,000 in matched funding support is available to the business, should it choose to fund the project with the recommendation of the facilitator.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a for-profit, non-tax exempt company who is registered for GST and operating in Australia for at least three consecutive years
  • have an annual turnover or operating expenditure between $1.5 million ($750,000 for remote Australia and Northern Australia) and $100 million
  • meet our Growth Sector eligibility criteria.

Stronger Communities Programme - Round 4

  • Open

The Stronger Communities Programme provides each of the 150 federal electorates with $150,000 to fund small capital projects that improve local community participation and contribute to vibrant viable communities. In consultation with their community, each Federal Member of Parliament must identify potential applicants and projects in their electorate and invite them to apply for a grant.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be invited to apply by your local MP
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • be one of eligible incorporated entities listed in the section 5.1 of the program guidelines
