Automotive Supply Chain Transition Program

Provides Victorian automotive supply chain companies with support to transition into new markets in the global automotive industry or other industries within Australia.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • be incorporated in Victoria
  • had at least ten per cent of your revenue derived from new car manufacturing by the three local car manufacturers (Ford, Holden and Toyota).

Provides small to medium Victorian businesses across the food value chain with vouchers to the value of $50,000 to help companies access the know-how needed to innovate, diversify, improve productivity and take new products to market.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a Victorian registered business with an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • meet all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards
  • be a legal entity engaged in agriculture (not forestry or fishing) and / or food and beverage manufacturing and be a member of the Victorian Food Innovation Network.

  • Open

Provides Victorian social enterprises with vouchers to the value of $25,000 to help them access the skills required to maintain the viability, sustainability and growth of their enterprise.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be a social enterprise registered in Victoria with an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • meet all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards
  • be a legal entity that is clearly evidenced as a social enterprise or be able to demonstrate a business model that is underpinned by an economic, social, cultural or environmental mission consistent with public or community benefit.

Prime Minister's Prizes for Science

Provides prizes to Australian scientists and innovators, and to science educators for outstanding achievements in scientific research, research-based innovation and excellence in science teaching. Winners receive a medallion, lapel pin, award certificate and prize money.

At a minimum, the nominee must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • not be self-nominated
  • not be nominated in more than one prize category in any given year
  • meet the specific eligibility criteria for the nominated prize.

Who can apply:

  • be an existing incubator or establishing a new incubator that will foster and develop innovative start-ups focused on international trade
  • be either an entity incorporated in Australia, an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust, an incorporated not for profit organisation, a publicly funded research organisation, or a local government agency or body.

Provides business incubators with grants of up to $100,000 to access top quality research, managerial and technical talent through incoming and outgoing secondments of national or international experts. This expertise aims to increase the capabilities of incubators and improve the chance of commercial success for start-ups in international markets.

Who can apply:

At a minimum, you must:

  • be an existing incubator or establishing a new incubator that will foster and develop innovative start-ups focused on international trade
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • be either an entity incorporated in Australia, an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust, an incorporated not for profit organisation, a publicly funded research organisation, or a local government agency or body.
