The new sites will work in tandem to ensure industry has access to timely advice and information on Defence security requirements. The design of both platforms delivers an enhanced user experience through improved functionality and navigation, making it easier to find what you are looking for. These changes have been driven by industry partner feedback and collaboration throughout the design process.

New DISP website

The new website contains key information and guidance to help industry apply for and maintain Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership. It also includes Frequently Asked Questions and a number of new fact sheets, practical guides and templates.

New security portal

The new security portal serves as a ‘member only library’ for DISP Chief Security Officers and Security Officers. It works alongside the website to provide DISP members with access to sensitive information regarding their membership that is not available on the public DISP website. This includes new threat and risk products and new assurance and audit guidance.

What is the Defence Industry Security Program?

The DISP, managed by the Defence Industry Security Office (DISO), supports Australian businesses to understand and meet their security obligations when engaging in Defence projects, contracts and tenders.

The DISP:

  • helps you to meet Defence security requirements when delivering Defence contracts and tenders
  • gives you access to Defence security advice and support services
  • helps you better understand and manage security risks across your business
  • provides confidence and assurance to Defence and other government entities (either Australian or foreign) when procuring goods and services from industry members

DISP membership is open to any Australian business looking to become part of the Defence supply chain.
