The ACT government is delivering an economic survival package to support business and the community to survive the impacts of COVID-19, including the following measures:

  • up to 4 hours of one-on-one fully subsidised, tailored advice and access to online business development resources delivered by the Canberra Business Advice and Support Service
  • rebate of fixed water and sewerage charges for hotels and other accommodation providers
  • waivers for food business registration, outdoor dining and liquor licensing fees
  • waivers for other business licensing and registration fees 
  • ride-share and taxi vehicle licence fees waivers 
  • rebates on electricity fees for cafes, restaurants and takeaway businesses until 30 June 2021
  • payroll tax deferrals and waivers for various industries
  • rebate for commercial general rates.
