Who is this for?

Northern Territory businesses affected by COVID-19.


Territory businesses that can demonstrate substantial hardship due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) can apply to be on the hardship register to receive various concessions, including:

  • waiving or deferring payment of payroll tax
  • reducing utilities bills
  • providing incentives for commercial landlords to reduce rents
  • reducing or deferring council rates
  • other relief which may be offered from time-to-time agreed to by the responsible minister

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a legal entity and hold a valid Australian business number (ABN) as at 23 March 2020
  • be a Northern Territory enterprise
  • have an annual turnover of no more than $50 million
  • have experienced a reduction of turnover of more than 30% due to COVID-19
