The Entrepreneur Development Loan Fund (EDLF) aims to assist with the costs of skills and knowledge transfer to key individuals within high-growth ACT businesses. Funds should be used to help businesses obtain or refine key skills and capabilities, grow the company, and achieve their business goals.

Low cost, unsecured loans of up to $10,000 are available at a flat rate of 3%.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an established business in the ACT with an Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (CAN)
  • nominate a person who will participate in the project and be the recipient of the skills and capability transfer
  • have an existing product or service (this loan is not intended to support prototype development or start-ups)
  • have an identifiable project, comprising of a number of milestones that meets the intent of the ELDF program
  • be able to co-contribute to the costs of the project.
