Small Business Grants Round 2 provide small businesses (both employing and non-employing) and not-for-profits significantly affected by COVID-19 with funding to help them survive.

What do you get?

Funding of $10,000 for employing businesses and $3,000 for non-employing businesses.

Who is this for?

South Australian businesses and not-for-profits including eligible sporting and community organisations.

Overview

The second round of funding provides support to South Australian small businesses that are highly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and includes:

  • $10,000 for small businesses that employ staff and are receiving JobKeeper from 28 September 2020
  • $3,000 for small businesses that do not employ staff and are operating from a commercial premises and are receiving JobKeeper from 28 September 2020

What are the eligibility criteria?

To be eligible, small businesses and non-profit organisations must:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN) and were carrying on the operation of a business in SA on 30 September 2020
  • have an annual turnover of more than $75,000 (GST exclusive) in either 2018-19 or 2019-20
  • be a participant in the Commonwealth Government’s extended JobKeeper Payment scheme from 28 September 2020

Employing businesses must:

  • employ people in SA as at 30 September 2020
  • have total Australian payroll of less than $1.5 million in either 2018-19 or 2019-20, and not be entitled to a payroll tax waiver or deferral under COVID-19 support measures introduced by the SA Government

Non-employing businesses must:

  • be operating from a commercial premises
  • not employ people in SA as at 30 September 2020
