Regional Jobs and Investment Packages (RJIP) provides matched funding for projects that help grow regional economies and provide sustainable employment.

Who is this for?
Businesses, local government agencies and not-for-profit organisations with a project in 1 of 10 specified regions.
Overview
The $211.4 million Regional Jobs and Investment Packages (RJIP) aims to drive economic growth and create jobs in Australian regions. It invests in projects that:
- diversify regional economies
- stimulate long term growth
- deliver sustainable employment
- enable applicants to enter new markets and sectors
Funding is provided to 10 regions. Projects must align with priorities outlined in each region’s local investment plan.
Funding streams
The program provides funding in 3 grant funding streams:
- Local infrastructure – grants for local government bodies and not-for-profit organisations to invest in new or upgraded infrastructure.
- Business innovation – grants to help businesses become more competitive in new or growing markets that create sustainable employment.
- Skills and training – grants for local government bodies and agencies and not-for-profit organisations to support training and upskilling of the regional workforce.
