The independent review of the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) is now underway and we’re keen to hear from:

  • business owners who have had direct experience with receiving ASBFEO services
  • small business owners
  • business organisation
  • peak representative body

Why is there a review?

The review will look at how effectively and efficiently the Ombudsman has provided assistance and advocacy for Australian small businesses.

The review will also consider:

  • how the Ombudsman has responded to the recommendations of the 2017 Review including delivery of new functions since that time
  • the need for any legislative or administrative improvements to support the Ombudsman

The review is a statutory requirement, due to be completed every 4 years under the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman Act 2015.

Have your say

You can have your say by completing the online consultation by the 30 April 2021.
