ABS Institute provides support to start-up enterprises. In particular, they help people who are unemployed or underemployed to start their own business and work for themselves. They can assist with developing skills to help find career options for those considering self-employment as an alternative to gaining full time work.
They offer a range of services and advice, including:
- specialist programs for people seeking to start their own business and be their own boss
- helping business owners and managers improve productivity and build better businesses through training, development, and mentoring
- training programs that improve career prospects
- assisting with your personal and professional development to gain worthwhile employment.
ABS Institute are funded by the Australian government to provide new business assistance through Self-Employment Assistance.
