A vertically integrated medicinal cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility in Victoria. Althea plans to supply its customer base in Australia and the UK from the facility. Althea has developed Althea Concierge, an online customer portal as well as an online education portal, MEDIC, which provides free online educational services on medicinal cannabis to assist in its distribution network.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $0.150 billion and would create approximately 200 construction jobs and 150 full-time equivalent positions.

Ammaroo Phosphate Project

The Ammaroo Phosphate project consists of two concurrent components: a phosphate rock and extraction open cut mine at the Ammaroo deposit and a benedictional and chemical plant complex built on the Ammaroo mining leases. The project intends to export phosphoric acid to India, and targeted countries in south-east and north-east Asia through the Port of Darwin.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $1.5 billion and would create approximately 900 construction jobs and 250 full-time equivalent positions.

Asian Renewable Energy Hub

The Asian Renewable Energy Hub will be a green hydrogen and ammonia production facility. The project includes a 26 gigawatt hybrid wind and solar power plant that will produce at export scale, as well as supply industries in the Pilbara and Broome Region, creating new jobs and supporting economic growth over the next 50 years.

The project has a projected capital expenditure $40 billion and would create approximately 3,000 jobs direct and indirect when fully operating.

Asterion Medicinal Cannabis Project

Asterion (Australia) Pty Ltd

A high-tech medicinal cannabis cultivation, research and manufacturing facility. The project involves construction of a 40 hectare glasshouse to produce 20,000 plants per day at full capacity. Medicinal grade cannabis grown at the facility will be manufactured into a range of medicinal products, including single patient packs, cannabis oils, gels, salts and related products, destined solely for the medicinal market. This facility is anticipated to be the largest facility of its kind in the world.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $450 million and would create approximately 800 construction jobs and 150 ongoing jobs.

Australian ASEAN Power Link

The Australian ASEAN Power Link Project includes three components, a 10 gigawatt solar farm array built over 12,000 hectares in the Barkly region near Tennant Creek, battery storage facilities in Darwin and Singapore and a high voltage direct current transmission line between the solar farm and the Darwin Harbour. The project would link to Singapore’s electricity grid and have the potential to significantly expand the renewable energy and battery storage industries in Australia.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $22 billion and would create approximately 1.500 construction job and 351 ongoing jobs.

Australian Vanadium Project

Development of a new vanadium mine with on-site processing facilities for high grade vanadium pentoxide, located in mid-west Western Australia. The project will produce vanadium pentoxide for use in steel, specialty alloys and energy storage markets.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $502 million and would create approximately 500 construction jobs and 240 ongoing jobs.

Battery Anode Material Facility

The Battery Anode Material Facility will be a processing facility located in the Kwinana Strategic Industrial Area in south-west Western Australia to produce high purity spherical graphite for direct supply to battery anode manufacturers overseas. The Project will have staged development with a production capacity of 20,000 tonnes per annum at full production.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $0.72 billion and would create approximately 250 construction jobs and 65 ongoing jobs.

Beyondie Sulphate of Potash Project

The Beyondie Project will produce sulphate of potash, a high yield premium fertiliser. This involves brine extraction, evaporation and on-site processing. The project aims to be Australia's first commercial potash producer and with approximately half its output expected to be supplied to the domestic market, would contribute to the resilience and security of supply of domestic potash.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $227 million and would create approximately 80 construction jobs and 50 ongoing jobs.

Finniss Lithium Project

The Finniss Lithium Project 25km south-west of Darwin Port, Northern Territory will consist of an open pit and underground lithium deposit, and a dense media separation processing plant. The Project will be the first Lithium plant outside Western Australia and is expected to produce 175,000 tpa of spodumene concentrate over a minimum seven year mine life.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $0.73 billion and would create approximately 217 construction jobs and 257 ongoing jobs.

Goschen Zircon and Rare Earth Minerals Project

The Goschen Zircon and Rare Earth Minerals Project will consist of a mine in Victoria and refinery in South Australia. The project will develop a combination of rare earth oxide products, mixed heavy rare earth carbonate concentrates, and zirconium and titanium minerals.

The project has a capital expenditure of $0.85 billion supporting around 500 construction and 300 ongoing operation jobs.

Hydroganics Medicinal Cannabis Facility

Hydroganics Pty Ltd

Hydroganics plan to develop a medicinal cannabis cultivation and processing facility. The project will consist of approximately 10 hectares of greenhouses attached to a 5000m² Good Manufacturing Practice certified automated head house where the plant material will be processed.

Hydroganics estimate that at full capacity the project will cultivate an estimated 3,630,000 plants per annum. Hydroganics plan to manufacture a range of cannabis oils to supply domestic and international markets.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $333 million and would create approximately 140 ongoing jobs and 152 construction jobs.

LeafCann Group Biotech Development

LeafCann is a vertically integrated biotech company that plans to produce high quality, pharmaceutical grade medicinal cannabis ingredients and medicines. LeafCann will build a state-of-the-art cultivation and Good Manufacturing Practice production facility with a forecast production capacity of up to 16.2 tonne per annum of whole plant extract.

The project will also include the development of cultivation facilities that will be leased to independent medicinal cannabis cultivators. LeafCann have established a Registered Training Organisation to provide training and qualifications to the medicinal cannabis industry.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $350 million and would create approximately 856 construction jobs and 1,400 ongoing jobs.

Mackay Potash Project

The Mackay Potash Project, located in regional Western Australia, near the East Pilbara town of Kiwirrkurra, is a project that will extract potash minerals from Lake Mackay. The project will involve extracting groundwater from the Lake and storing this saline water in solar evaporation ponds for the crystallisation of potash-bearing salts. The salts will be processed and refined into high purity, water soluble SOP fertiliser products to be exported out of Wyndham Port to world markets.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $545 million and would create approximately 300 construction jobs and 200 ongoing jobs.

Mardie Salt and Potash Project

The Mardie Salt and Potash Project, located 100km south-west of Karratha, is expected to produce more than 4 million tonnes of high purity salt and 100,000 tonnes of potash fertiliser a year. A new transhipment port within the Pilbara Port Authority controlled Cape Preston West Port area, adjacent to the Mardie project will enable exports from the facility.

The project has a capital expenditure of $0.498 billion, and created approximately 450 construction jobs and 200 ongoing jobs.

Medibis Medicinal Cannabis Facility

Medibis are developing a high-tech and vertically integrated medicinal cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility in Toowoomba, Queensland. Medibis will produce highest-grade, medicinal cannabis (raw flower), as well as associated refined extracts and medicinal products for applications in the healthcare industry.

All processes will be compliant with Good Agricultural and Collection Practice (GACP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Medibis will supply thousands of Australian patients through established domestic licensed providers, and will also contribute substantial export volumes to the global industry. Medibis has already established a strong international research alliance, and will provide support for approved prescribers and clinics to enhance understanding of medicinal cannabis.

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $0.187 billion and would create approximately 386 ongoing jobs.

Mount Peake Vanadium-Titanium-Iron Project

The Mount Peake Vanadium-Titanium-Iron Project will include a mining operation and Beneficiation Plant north of Alice Springs and a downstream processing facility in Darwin. Forecast production of 100ktpa of titanium pigment (for paints and coatings), 6ktpa of vanadium pentoxide (for steel strengthening, alloys and vanadium redox batteries) and 500ktpa of iron oxide (for steel).

The project has a projected capital expenditure of $0.824 billion and would create approximately 1,200 construction jobs and 600 ongoing jobs.

Nolans Rare Earths Project

The Nolans Project, located 135km north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, is one of the world’s largest deposits of the rare earths Neodymium and Praseodymium (NdPr), which are essential ingredients in ultra-strong permanent magnets. Arafura plans to mine, concentrate and chemically process NdPr for use in the automotive, clean energy technology and electronic sectors. The operation also plans to produce phosphoric acid for the fertiliser industry.

The project is located across multiple sites. Genetics, breeding program and multiplication centres will be located in Darwin, NT and Exmouth, WA. A hatchery will be located in Darwin, and grow out ponds at Legune Station, NT. The feed mill harvesting and processing plant will be located at Kununurra, WA.
