If you can't find the information you're looking for in your language, the following links can help you contact the service you need.
TIS National from the Department of Home Affairs provides telephone interpreters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can use the service from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call on 13 14 50.
To find a translator or interpreter who has been accredited or recognised by NAATI, you can:
- search their Online Directory
- call NAATI on 1300 557 470 (in Australia only).
You can find translators and interpreters in the Yellow Pages by searching for "Interpreters" or "Translators".
Government assistance in other languages
The Department of Human Services provides translations of many of their online publications, including information:
- for newly arrived migrants
- for part-time and casual workers
- about social security agreements between Australia and various countries
- about payments and services.
